Facebook August 2026 Updates: 15 New Features Every Marketer Should Know

Facebook updates 2026

If you run ads or manage pages for a living, you already know Facebook never sits still. Meta pushes out changes almost every week, and most marketers only catch half of them because there’s simply too much noise to track Facebook Updates 2026

I went through everything Meta has rolled out over the last couple of months and pulled together the updates that actually matter if you’re spending money or building an audience on the platform. Some of these are small quality of life changes. A few are the kind of thing that can genuinely shift your strategy.

Here’s what’s new.

Meta is testing something it calls brand memory inside its ad creation tools. Basically the AI studies your past ads and keeps new generated creative consistent with your existing brand look, instead of spitting out something generic. It’s rolling out first through agency partners before opening up wider later this year.

For agencies like ours, this is worth watching closely. Bulk creative generation is great until it stops looking like your client’s brand.

2. Text on ads now translates automatically

Meta added on media text translation for ad creative in five languages. If you’ve got text baked into your image or video creative, it can now be translated without you having to redesign the whole asset for each market.

3. AI voiceovers for ads, now in eleven languages

Alongside the text translation, Meta expanded its AI generated ad voiceover feature to eleven languages. Useful if you’re running the same video ad across multiple regions and don’t want to hire voice talent for each one.

4. A creative approval workflow is being tested inside Ads Manager

For anyone who has ever chased a client over WhatsApp for creative sign off, this one might save you a headache. Meta is testing an in platform approval flow so you can get creative signed off without leaving Ads Manager.

5. Creator Marketplace and Partnership Ads Hub are merging

Meta is combining its Creator Marketplace with the Partnership Ads Hub into something called the Creator Marketing Hub. Facebook creators are expected to be added to this later in the year too. If you run influencer or partnership campaigns, this is where that workflow is headed.

6. Content Seal, Meta's own AI watermark system

Meta launched Content Seal, a watermarking system that labels content generated with Meta AI tools. It only works on Meta AI generated images for now, but it’s a sign of where things are going with AI content labeling across the platform.

7. New metrics for measuring your AI chatbots

If you’re running an AI agent for customer support or lead gen on Messenger, Meta rolled out three new metrics to help you actually judge how well it’s performing: total AI conversations, contact with intent to buy, and containment rate. That last one tells you how many conversations the bot handled fully on its own without a human stepping in.

8. The Instagram AI remix feature got pulled

Worth knowing even though it’s a removal, not an addition. Meta disabled the option that let people remix other users’ public Instagram posts using AI. If any of your content plans relied on that feature, time to rethink.

9. A Messenger sticker built for starting conversations

Facebook is testing a new sticker Page admins can drop into posts to nudge people toward starting a chat in the Page’s Messenger inbox. Small feature, but a decent lead gen nudge if you’re already running a Messenger funnel.

10. Creator Activity dashboard for Pages

There’s a new Creator Activity section inside the Professional Dashboard now, giving Page admins a clearer view of growth and posting consistency over time. Handy if you’re managing multiple client pages and need a quick pulse check.

11. Live Video Ads are expanding, and live shopping is getting real investment

Meta is pushing Live Video Ads over to Instagram and building out AI powered advertising tools specifically for livestream broadcasts. They’re also partnering with live commerce platforms like CommentSold and TalkShopLive to support shopping directly inside livestreams. If your clients sell physical products, live shopping is clearly a direction Meta wants brands to move toward.

12. Post view ads for Reels are now open to everyone

Meta rolled out Post-view ads for Instagram Reels to all advertisers. These serve an ad after someone finishes watching a Reel rather than interrupting it, which tends to feel less disruptive and can perform differently than a mid roll placement.

13. AI Mode has landed inside Facebook Search

Meta AI now powers a dedicated AI Mode within Facebook Search. Worth testing how your business shows up when people search using conversational queries instead of typical keywords, because that behavior is only going to grow.

14. AI business agents can now handle bookings and sales conversations

This came out of Meta’s Conversations event in London, and honestly it’s one of the bigger updates on this list. AI powered business agents across Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram can now answer common customer questions, qualify leads, book appointments, and handle basic sales inquiries on their own. Meta is also building deeper integrations with platforms like Shopify for larger business accounts.

For service businesses especially, this is worth a serious look. A hair studio client fielding “do you have Saturday slots” questions at midnight is exactly the kind of use case this was built for.

15. Passkeys are now available for Meta Business Suite

Meta added passkey login support for Business Suite, letting you sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN instead of typing a password every time. Not flashy, but a genuinely useful security upgrade if you or your team manage several client accounts.

What this means for your strategy Facebook Updates 2026

A lot of these updates point toward the same direction. Meta wants AI doing more of the heavy lifting, whether that’s writing your ad copy, translating your creative, running your customer conversations, or hosting your live shopping events.

That doesn’t mean you hand everything over blindly. AI generated creative and AI agents still need a human checking tone, accuracy, and whether it actually sounds like the brand. But if you’re not testing at least a couple of these features this month, you’re leaving performance on the table that your competitors are probably already grabbing.

Start small. Pick one or two features that fit where your clients already are, test them properly, and build from there.
